A burst supply line, an overflowing tub, or a storm surge under the back door doesn't wait for business hours, and neither do we. We dispatch Wilmington units carrying industrial extraction pumps, air movers, and commercial dehumidifiers already loaded on the truck.
We built our Wilmington branch after hearing the same complaint over and over from Wilmington, IL property owners — the "24/7" number that never actually answers. Every technician on our Wilmington roster is a Hirex Water Damage employee, not a gig-app contractor pulled from a random directory.
Our senior technicians are IICRC-certified and have worked everything from a clean supply-line break to a full sewage backup, so Flood Damage Cleanup in Wilmington isn't a side service we tacked on — it's the reason the company exists. We carry full general liability coverage and are licensed to operate throughout Wilmington, IL, so you're protected from the moment our truck pulls into the driveway.
We keep a stocked warehouse inside Wilmington, IL so equipment never has to be trucked in from another region, which is the difference between a 45-minute arrival and a next-day one.
Talk to a Wilmington property manager who's lived through an overnight pipe failure and they'll tell you exactly why a crew that arrives already equipped matters — every extra minute is more water in the framing. That's the gap Hirex Water Damage was built to close, one Wilmington call at a time.
Not every leak announces itself with a flooded floor. A lot of the worst damage we see in Wilmington started small and got ignored for weeks. Here's what tells us a property needs professional attention rather than a mop and a fan:
If any of that sounds familiar, don't wait for it to get worse — call our Wilmington line and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a same-day emergency or something we can schedule.
We size the Wilmington response to the actual damage — a single-room extraction gets a two-person crew, a commercial loss gets the full fleet — nothing gets a cookie-cutter response.
We arrive with submersible pumps and truck-mount extractors that get standing water out of a Wilmington property before it soaks deeper into the subfloor. Every extraction job includes moisture mapping so we know exactly which materials are still holding water once the visible flooding is gone.
We place industrial dehumidifiers and air movers based on actual psychrometric calculations, not a standard equipment count per room, with daily drying logs so you can see the numbers improving, not just take our word for it.
On the residential side in Wilmington, we handle the flood-cut, subfloor checks, and content pack-out so your home is ready to rebuild, with clear photo documentation at every stage for your insurance claim.
Multi-unit and commercial Wilmington properties get their own project manager plus enough drying equipment to cover the real square footage, not a token setup — we know a flooded lobby or a leaking unit above tenants below has to move fast.
Category 3 blackwater calls for full PPE, antimicrobial treatment, and disposal of anything porous that touched the contamination — our Wilmington crews are trained for exactly that protocol.
We apply antimicrobial treatment during every Wilmington drying job specifically to head off mold before it starts, and we'll flag any area that needs deeper remediation.
We quote the job before equipment gets plugged in, so there's no surprise line item buried in the final invoice.
Our Wilmington, IL warehouse keeps drying equipment close, which typically puts a Wilmington tech at your door inside an hour.
We document everything with photos and moisture logs and work directly with your adjuster so you're not stuck translating restoration jargon.
Final moisture readings have to hit dry-standard before we consider a Wilmington job done, and getting there again is on us, not you.
Our Wilmington team asks a handful of targeted questions so the truck that shows up already has the right gear loaded.
Our nearest available Wilmington crew is dispatched immediately with truck-mount extraction gear on board.
Extraction happens immediately, followed by a moisture survey that tells us precisely where the drying equipment needs to go.
We re-check moisture levels daily until materials hit dry standard, then hand you full documentation for your records or your insurer.
We measure moisture with instruments, not guesswork, and we won't sign off on a Wilmington job until those readings match the dry standard for the materials involved. If a callback shows lingering moisture within 30 days of a completed job, we return and correct it at no additional charge.
That's not a marketing line — it's written into every Wilmington work order we issue. A repeat visit under this guarantee doesn't mean starting over — we pull the original moisture logs and pick up exactly where the last visit left off.

If it's safe, shut off the water source, move electronics and valuables away from the affected area, and avoid the space if standing water is near outlets.
We scale crews and equipment for commercial Wilmington accounts and assign a dedicated project lead for anything beyond a single unit.
Most Wilmington residential jobs dry out in 3 to 5 days depending on how much material got wet and how long it sat before extraction.
Not if it's addressed quickly — mold generally needs 24-48 hours of sustained moisture, which is exactly why fast extraction matters.
